Welcome to Chaps & Petticoats Square Dance Club

We are a square dance club in Aurora, Oregon that began in 1975.  We are members of the Oregon Federation of Square and Round Dance Clubs and we offer Mainstream, Plus Level square dance as well as Round Dance.  Our members draw from the Canby, Aurora, Woodburn, Wilsonville and Molalla area.  Our club caters to youth, couples and singles who are interested in dancing.

Square dancing is a great way to get low impact exercise, make friends and challenge your brain. Think Square Dance!

  • Our Trophy Hippie Dance was well attended with 10 squares of dancers.  The M&Ms club were the winner of the trophy.  Congrats M&MS!!
  • We are dark July and August.  We will start up dancing again on September 5th
  • July 19th come see us at the Hubbard Hop Festival.  We will be in the parade and at the park selling Elephant Ears and Italian Sodas
  • Mainstream lessons will start September 14th 6:00 at Maplewood Grange
  • Like us on Face Book
  • We have an ADVENTURE SQUARE at our dances.  It is for people who like to have "anything goes" while dancing.  You might get bumped out, end up dancing the other gender's part, dance a 7 person square or be subject to any flourishes that someone thought up.  The kids love it.  We have a sign hanging from the ceiling to mark the spot.
  • Our first Friday of each month we will be having a Plus Workshop at 7:30 before the mainstream dance.  The third Friday dance will be Pre Rounds.
  • We have hearing enhancement transmitter available for our dances.
  • Scott Zinser is our club caller and Jackie Gale is our club cuer they will guiding us at the first dance of each month.
